We pay special attention to the health of the gum and bone, the structures that support the teeth (this is called the Periodontium). If gums are irritated, inflamed, or bleeding, this is Gingivitis. Periodontitis is diagnosed when gingivitis is present combined with loss of bony support. It is important to prevent, counteract, and control gingivitis and periodontitis, as they can lead to discomfort, tooth failure, and loss, and affect quality of life. Our cleanings-the type and frequency-are prescribed according to your specific diagnosis and needs.
